General Information

  • History was started at general level in the academic year 1985-86. Late Prof. Major Rokade N.A was appointed as a lecturer in History.
  • History as special subject was started from Academic Year 2007-08
  • History as special subject at P.G. level was started from Academic Year 2012-13
  • Maximum capacity of student for the course is 120.

Objectives of the Department:

  • To create sense of interest in History of different period.
  • To acquaint the learners with the happenings in the past particularly in India.
  • To inculcate in the learners love for national integration
