The Department of Commerce was established in the year 1970. Since establishment the department is actively engaged and participated in improving the ability of rural students to learn and develop skills for solving problems and to set a foundation for career as well as further studies in the field of commerce.

The Department of Commerce acting as platform to educate and train the rural students and make them confident to acquire an employment opportunities in the area of commerce. Keeping the pace with changes and advancement, the department always organizes various extra- curricular activities for students. To impart and gain the knowledge in various disciplines of commerce such as Marketing Management, Banking and Finance, Cost and Works Accounting, etc.

The department offered under graduate courses B.COM, BBA, BBA (C.A), Post Graduate Course M.Com and Ph.D. Research Centre in Commerce.
